The Country Club Hotel, Dubai presented the mega event of Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan on 25th October 2008 at Dubai Festival City Arena. This event was witnessed by over 25,000 music fans from all over the emirates. The show began at 9.45 p.m sharp with a bollywood dancing troupe dancing to the tunes of “Jhoom Barabhar Jhoom”.
Bollywood queens Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor, dazzled the audience with their stunning looks and performance. Katrina made an impact with the number “Jar Jara Touch Me” while Kareen Kapoor stole the first part of the show by dancing to the tunes like Dont look at me like that, Chaliya Chaliya, Yeh Ishq Hei, Dhoom Machaa Pyaar Mei. The rocking Arjun Rampal holding a guitar in his hand circled round the audience on top of a crane and kept waving at the crowd and made a dashing entry on stage, with hit numbers like Dil Kya Kehta Mei Paagal Hu, and “Rockon”. The popular Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Hegde presented some of his dance sequences on stage and made an impact too. The dashing and sensational MTV VJ Anushka Dandekar stole the show with her captivating looks and Hard Kaur drew a huge round of applause for the song “Singh is Kingh”.
Indo-Asian News ServiceBollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has announced the launch of his signature real estate development, Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard, to be located in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).The 8-billion dirham ($2.2-billion) development will come up on Dana Island off the Ras Al Khaimah coast and will comprise studio and one and two-bedroom apartments.
In an interaction with reporters here ahead of the Cityscape 2008 real estate exhibition, which started on Monday, Shah Rukh said he had a fetish for houses and that was what led him to this project.
“I have a strange fetish for home. It’s close to my heart,” he was quoted as saying.
“Bit by bit, I have built my home where the future of my children lies. While I have done so much for my home, why can’t I extend this to others?” he asked.
The development will be designed by well-known architect Toni Ashai and will also comprise an underwater discotheque, a public square on the beach and a theatre.
The project will cover three million square feet.
The film star has associated himself with the project through TSA International Investments, a leading real estate financial consultancy in the UAE.
Khan already is associated with the UAE’s leading real estate developer Nakheel and owns a house on the posh Palm Jumeirah manmade island off the coast of the Dubai.
Though Bollywood actors have earlier endorsed real estate projects in the UAE, this is the first time that a celebrity himself is developing a property .

We are indeed talking about GQ, the world’s leading men’s magazine and their super-mega Indian launch, which has got none other than the Nawab Pataudi Jr. (Saif Ali Khan) himself for starters. Even though he looks his usual element on the cover along with a hot PYT chic, we would have definitely preferred him with his trademark glares.

Mumbai • Actor Aamir Khan’s directorial debut Taare Zameen Par has been selected as India’s entry for the Oscar 2009 in the best foreign film category, impressing the jury with its “perfection” in all aspects of film-making.
Taare Zameen Par is the final choice because it has a universal appeal and it has all the elements that make a good film, in terms of its production value, script, concept and story,” film-maker Sunil Darshan said here yesterday.
Darshan is the chairman of the 10-member jury set up by the Film Federation of India (FFI).
The movie was jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Pictures and starred Darsheel Safary as the protagonist. It it the story of an eight-year-old dyslexic boy and a teacher, played by Aamir, bringing the kid out of his predicament.

The bright, fun-filled winding streets of the mall come alive with singing clubs, rustic folklore, dancing, love ballads, flourishing colonies of artists and weavers, and chants from the monastery- all woven in perfect harmony into a magical dream.
