We are keeping busy as we head into the Fall Season, here are a few quick updates:

1) On CBC Radio 99.1 (Canada) today (Sept.11) - Desi Wear was
interviewed about the globalization of the “T-shirt Culture”.

2) Jas Brar (President of Entripy Custom Clothing - DW’s Parent
Company) has been named a finalist in this year’s Ernst & Young’s
Entrepreneur Of The Year. The winner will be announced on Oct.16.

Toronto’s Fade to Brown comedy troupe has teamed up with DW to produce exclusive T-shirts! The new t-shirt will be available at all they’re shows, (if they don’t sell out), on they’re web site, and through the Desi Wear online store HERE.
If you haven’t seen them live you’re missing quite a show! Being dedicated to the humor that is so inherent in all brown people is not all your in for. Silly accents and strange customs give way to limitless comedy. Bet on it!
The crew consists of the following members: Amish Patel, Jessie Gabe, Bobby Umar, Daniel Stolfi, Shawn Ahmed and Ryan Kyriakapolos.

Over at Facebook they’ve launched a new system called, “Spaces”. And as usual, we’re jumping right on it! So if your a member of Facebook head over to our group and check this new Ad system out. Here’s a little back story on what Spaces, (or Facebook Pages), are.
From this story over at Mashable, “Facebook Ads represent a completely new way of advertising online. For the last hundred years media has been pushed out to people, but now marketers are going to be a part of the conversation. And they’re going to do this by using the social graph in the same way our users do.”
And to answer the inevitable questions of “how could DW get into bed with a faceless giant like Facebook”? Well, from this TechCrunch article,
Q: “Are you worried this will make Facebok too commercial?”

Z: “Actually I think this will make it less commercial because the ads now are [more generic].”
We at DW think this could be a great way to get deeper into relationships with our customers. This is why we’re hitting this so soon and fast. Of course cause it’s a hot new thing is also a good reason to jump on board.

You see, when DW started it’s (very popular and successful) Facebook Group the response was so huge that we decided to give back a little something something.
