We are pleased to announce that Desi Wear / Entripy have just established a partnership agreement with Boxer: Andrew Kooner & Hennessy Sports (UK).

Andrew is the top Ranked Bantam Weight Boxer in Canada/UK - he is a 27 year old Sikh Boxer.
Kooner, who started the sport reluctantly at age 13 on the insistence of his mother. “My category is probably the toughest in the Americas. All the boxers are good. So I’m feeling right now that I have the capabilities to win.”

Kooner experienced his first international success at the 1996 world junior championships in Cuba. He won the silver medal but lost a controversial final to a Cuban before a raucous patriotic audience.

Toronto’s own rocker Bif Naked has been diagnosed with breast cancer, the singer announced on Sunday.However, she is ready to tackle this deadly disease!

“I have never been one to give up when an obstacle is placed in front of me,” says Bif. “I am in the fight of my life and I’m lucky to have the support of my husband Ian, and many friends, and family members. I’m glad it’s me and not my mom. I’m glad its me and not my sister; I’m glad its me and not any of my friends. I am ready for the fight.”

We said to ourselves, “what would be the best, simplest, yet most powerful T-shirt design for these grey long dreary months of winter”? Well, we came up with a new design called “Trippin Desi”. Sweet and straight on point. Strong and bold in color, perfect anti-winter club wear.
So why are we calling it ‘trippin’? This design is a special duracad print. The design is actually cut-out of vinyl and then hand peeled using precise dental tools. Each shirt actually takes over an hour to produce.

The process of peeling the fine detailed vinyl actually ‘trips’ you out…thus the name “Trippin Desi”.

Established in 2003 the team was formerly known as “Buckwild United” for 1st season. The DWFC plays in Division 1 in the Oakville Men’s League, on Sundays.

Toronto’s Fade to Brown comedy troupe has teamed up with DW to produce exclusive T-shirts! The new t-shirt will be available at all they’re shows, (if they don’t sell out), on they’re web site, and through the Desi Wear online store HERE.

This is completely Desi Wear unrelated! So I’m watching Season 8 of Law and Order SVU, (Special Victims Unit). I’m at episode 12 and across the screen flashed this face I thought I recognized. Sure enough I do! It’s Pooja Kumar! Who is she? Well a few years back, (2004) I did some photo work with JoSH on they’re Baan Far Kay music video, (shot in Montreal). You can check out those pictures HERE.
That’s when I meet Pooja, she was the star of that video. During the breaks in shooting I did interviews with everyone, (including Sugar Sammy). Pooja and I hit it off right away. Literally with 5 min left in the break Pooja and I snuck out back to the alley way and did a mini photo shoot. Believe it! You can see one of the pictures here. Simply amazing. So the years pass and all of a sudden she’s in Law and Order! How cool is that! Congrats Pooja! You can see the Baan Far Kay video HERE.
And I know I’ll get in trouble for this, but here is the little known interview video with Sammy and Pooja.

This past weekend we finally got around to getting some more hot pictures of hot people in hot t-shirts at a hot location. Did I mention hot enough! No, I didn’t. Cause this is HOT!
We did the shoot for the 5th anniversary issue of Anokhi. So we gathered up the crew and headed over to this club here in Ottawa called SIN. If you live in or around the Ottawa area, SiN is a must to check out. It’s located at 380 elgin street Ottawa, bottle / food / table service reservations available and highly recommended. We also managed to grab a hot guy, Samy Osman for the shoot. (Thanks Angies!) About half way through the shoot we figured he’d look better with the shirt off, so all you girls are in for a treat! We promise, as you can see, that this time around we’ve done something a little different. This is sexier, riskier, and HOT!
