“Luv to Bhang” is a celebration of Bhangra Music in the city of Toronto!

It is a new type of party that is limited to those 25 & up, a mature clientele. Each male to every event must be accompanied by one Female, otherwise ADMISSION WILL BE DENIED to all events. Everything will be Strictly Enforced. With no admission restrictions on females.

If you remember the days of Basement parties at your uncles, and the pounding beat of Heera, Alaap, and Premi, as you danced in circles, well then this Party is for you!

It is brought to you by two Bhangra lovers that feel it’s time that the culture and music truly be enjoyed in an atmosphere where everyone can relax and bhang to the music! Rav (Double AA) & Manny (Desi Wear) found their is major void in the market. Gone are the days of hitting clubs every week, let alone once in a while. Many of us now are professionals, entrepreneurs, working hard, involved in serious relationships, or starting young families. But the love for Bhangra music has not died.

Why is it that now you can only enjoy the music you love in a banquet hall, eating bad food, with watered down drinks, not to mention your family looking at you because…well you have had one too many! While the ladies have to wear uncomfortable footwear, trying to fit into traditional clothing that does not let them let loose, and oh yes visiting the bar when it’s crowding with unlces is not always a comfortable feeling! Not to mention the party is over by 1:00 AM…at 1 AM we’re only GETTING STARTED!

The Phunky Phresh anthems are courtesy of Double AA. While the sick, and drrrty percussion (drums, dhol and tabla) are provided by Gurpreet (The Tabla Guy) Chana & Paul (The Drummer) Nanuwa. Our parties also introduce a new element of live percussion with live DJ skills.

We play the best in Old Skool Punjabi, along with current and classic Bhangra anthems. Strictly Bhangra All Night Long!

“Luv to Bhang” is for those pure bhangraholics that just want to dance with like minded people to classic Bhangra. We’re bringing back memories…remember when:

-you heard Wham Bam for the first time
-Mundian To Bach Ke first came out
-the Rise N Shine Series of remix tapes from Sunshine were the sh*t!
-every fashion/culture show used Bindrakhia/Sunshines “Hit Geetan Da”
-day jams were the thing
-Even the goray knew of Apache Indian!

A night of Bhangra music, with a mature crowd!
Part of Proceeds for all events will go to support the South Asian Women’s Center.
